Great accomplishment for Guam local teams competing in the 2017 March Madness Pacific Regional Tournament games held at the Coral Reef Fitness Center in Andersen Air Force Base.
In the men’s division the Tamuning Typhoons varsity team placed second after a loss to the Osan Mustangs from Korea. Typhoon players Joe Blas, Sammy Setik and Christian Kakonda were named to the all star team.
In the women’s division the Lady Tooth Fairies loss to the Lady Osan Mustangs from Korea placed them at second place in the championship game. Fairies Briana Benito, Kat Castro, Iona Evangelista and Darin Santos were named to the all star team.
